Brief thought exercise: if you knew conclusively what happened when you died, would you treat the world better right now?

This isn’t a full-fledged post by any means; ’tis just a thought exercise. If you believe that things like overpopulation and peak oil and food supply and over-dependence on fossil fuels and the future of the oceans are all concerns we could be addressing more now, then here’s the follow: if you conclusively knew what happened when you passed away, how would that change your behavior now? For example — and I don’t mean to be trite here, so apologies if I am — if you knew that in some kind of afterlife you’d see your children and grand-children struggling with the world in small part because of choices you made (like having two SUVs, or something), would you make different decisions now? Or do you think the bigger issue is “But, I’m only one person; I can’t change the world!” Or is the issue really, “I want to be better, but the system isn’t set up for me to buy the right things in order to be better!” I’m interested in people sticking with questionable decisions (as relates to what they can do to the Earth). So just stop and think for a minute … if you knew that the afterlife was like 24-7 TV of your still-earthbound loved ones, would that change anything for you?
