Cadaver dogs hit a scent in Christina Morris investigation. Are we close to getting Enrique Arochi or someone else?

Christina Marie Morris

Out of all the true crime stuff I’ve ever written about, I’m probably most fascinated by Lauren Spierer (no answers, and seemingly no way to get answers, as well as no body) and, recently, Christina Morris. Here’s the first time I wrote about it — I think the connection initially was that I had just moved to Fort Worth around the time she went missing — and here’s the second time I wrote about it, where it seems like Enrique Arochi is becoming the guy.

There’s been a few developments.

First of all, I think we can probably sadly admit that there are likely two potential outcomes here, in the grand scheme of “People rarely go missing for 3 months and make no effort to contact their families.” She’s probably either deceased, or, potentially held against her will somewhere. There are very few other reasonable outcomes. Sad, but true. The focus now is finding and justice.

There are cadaver dogs being used now in this case, and recently, they hit a scent. That doesn’t necessarily mean anything, though — they could have hit on human bodily fluids from another person. The “hit” came from a concrete pillar in Shops at Legacy, where she was last seen; thing is, though, cops have admitted that she probably wasn’t murdered there (if, in fact, this is a murder investigation).

As for Enrique Arochi, there’s this:

And there’s this:

In addition to some of the stuff I wrote in my second post (linked above), there’s a bite mark on Arochi’s arm from the morning after her disappearance.

He certainly seems like the guy, but we need to operate under an “innocent until proven guilty” context, at least for the time being.

If you know anything about this case, please speak to the Plano Police Department — and if you have any knowledge of the people or theories about the night she went missing, feel free to leave them in the comments.

  1. Could someone please send me contact information on the investigator Gary Nicol (uncertain of the spelling) that assisted in Miss Morris disappearance? I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
