Pretty hard to look at that and argue whites and blacks have the same experience in this country; 2,207 per 100,000 African-Americans in America are in jail. That’s 2.2 percent of the entire African-American population of the country — in jail. Whites? 380 per 100K.
African-American homicides per 100K? 18.2. Globally, that’s Haiti + Iraq.
White homicides per 100K? 2.5.
Brutal, right? We could use a more real dialogue about race in this country, but these numbers are hard to avoid.
